The Old Testament is full of great stories! Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Esau, Joseph, Moses, Samson, Esther, David, Ruth, Daniel & Elijah…
But how do all these stories piece together? How do they all fit into the bigger story of the Bible?
Our new series, The Big Story gives a ten-week overview of the Old Testament. We will look at some of the famous men and women of faith, but we will also step back and look at God’s broader purposes, His relationship with His chosen people, and His plan to restore a fallen creation and save humanity from their sinfulness through the sacrifice of His son.
Because wherever you are in the Bible, whichever story you are reading, everything points to Jesus!

Sandwiched right in the centre of the Old Testament between the books of History and Prophecy are 5 books outlining the experience of 3 main characters - Job, David and Solomon. Through their experiences they record their feelings, insights and understanding of life and above all God. Listen as Steve outlines the main themes of these books and then focuses attention on the book of Proverbs where we can learn so much about how to make life work!
