Baptism
Our baptism services are always great events!
Jesus said that once we had become believers in Him, we should let everyone know about it by being baptised, as sign that we're living a new life for Him!
We invite you, if you haven't yet been baptised but are a follower of Jesus, to join us at our next baptism service!
What is the meaning of baptism?
-
It illustrates Christ´s burial and resurrection. It says "I am a follower of Jesus, who died and rose again for me."
-
It illustrates my new life as a Christian." It says "Now I'm a follower of Jesus, I'm determined to live a brand new life! Baptism doesn't make you a believer - it shows that you believe. Baptism is like a wedding ring - it´s the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart.
Who should be baptised?
Every person who has believed in Christ. At C3, we wait until our children are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them. This is very much a thing that is different for every child. If your child wants to be baptised, please contact the C3 Office in the first instance.
When should I be baptised?
As soon as you have believed and is practically possible. Don't put it off waiting for the right moment! If you are a follower of Jesus, baptism is something that should be sought out as soon as possible.
OK, I would like to be baptised!
Great! Our next Baptism service will be on Sunday 7 July at the Coldham's Lane Celebration. There is also a pre-baptism talking taking place during Celebration 2 at St Bede's on Sunday 30 June. To register or find out more, please contact the C3 office on 01223 844415 or email office@cthree.org. |
