Helping you on your way to your own freedomCounseller

Counselling provides opportunities for reflection and exploration of issues that are of concern to you within a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Our relationship would be one of a ‘working alliance’ where you would be given space and time to examine your coping strategies and any presently unexplored opportunities that might ensure a better future. This is with the view that the process will lead to positive change in your life. Allowing you to make your own decisions throughout the process and valuing your autonomy will emphasize my respect for you.

Confidentiality

confidentialEverything we discuss will be treated as confidential unless otherwise agreed, or required by law to refer the information to other agencies, Courts, the Police, or when I, or C3 could be prosecuted for withholding the information. Any sharing of information in supervision or professional development will keep your identity unrecognisable.

The Way We Work

As I now live in the Yorkshire area, face to face work may not be possible, but online work via Skype video or phone can also work very well. These 50 minute meetings are normally arranged in contracts of 6 weekly sessions but longer or shorter arrangements can also be arranged where appropriate.

Cost

Since my work is subsidised by the Church and if we agree that counselling is appropriate for you and your situation, donations of between £10 and £15 per session would be appropriate. This would then contribute towards the ongoing cost of supervision and training in this area. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me for further details.

Who will rosemaryAug 09counsel me?

My name is Rosemary Jones. I'm an Accredited Counsellor with the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC); a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the Association of Counsellors and Therapists Online (ACTO) working within the 'Ethical Frameworks'. My training focuses on four main areas: Christian Counselling; short term, solution focused counselling; Online Counselling and Supervision. Extended modules of study include Bereavement counselling; Couple counselling; Crisis and Trauma counselling and Supervision. Although my clients at present are predominately Christian, I also welcome people from other faith backgrounds and indeed those with no religious affiliations. My aim is to operate a service that is non-discriminatory in every respect.
