The Haven, post-abortion care
If you’ve had an abortion and you now find yourself struggling to cope with everyday life, then you’re not alone. Many women suffer emotionally after having a termination, even if this felt like the only option available or the best choice at the time. 
 
We’d like to invite you to join a new group that will be starting on 14 September 2011, where we’ll help you to understand some of the painful emotions, thoughts or feelings that you may be experiencing. These might include:
  • Numbness, guilt, grief or anger
  • Finding it difficult to be near babies or pregnant women
  • A preoccupation with the whole experience
  • Feeling the need to 'replace' the baby
  • A feeling of distance from, or over-protectiveness of, existing children
  • An inability to maintain your normal routine
  • Depressed feelings that are stronger than 'a little sadness'
  • Sleep problems or disturbing dreams
  • Flashbacks
  • Tearfulness
  • Relationship tensions or breakdown resulting from the abortion
Our free, nine-week programme has helped many women to regain their inner peace and move on with their lives. Sessions are two hours long and will be on Wednesday evenings. We’d love you to join us.
