If you’re experiencing financial problems caused by a sudden crisis such as a bereavement, benefit delay, redundancy or illness, then we can help to make sure that you and your family have food to put on the table. At Cambridge City Foodbank, we’ve distributed more than 300 emergency foodboxes to people across Cambridge in the last five months. Each foodbox contains enough food to provide nutritionally-balanced meals for your household for three days.
By visiting the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Centre 33 or Romsey Mill, you can obtain a voucher to exchange for a foodbox at one of our distribution centres where, if appropriate, we can also get you connected with relevant support agencies who can help to resolve the underlying causes of your crisis.
Cambridge City Foodbank is run by three churches in partnership: C3, St. Paul’s and OLEM.
Got time or food to spare?
Why not support your local community by:
-
Dropping off food at our Cambridge City Foodbank collection bins in Sainsbury’s supermarket on Coldham’s Lane, or at our Sunday morning celebrations at St Bede’s School on Birdwood Road.
-
Volunteering to sort food and prepare boxes at our warehouse, or to give out boxes at one of our distribution centres.
